What happens if the power supply to the S100/S300 splitter fails or is turned off?

In normal operation, the S100/S300 splitter requires a 12 -24V power supply in order to be able to switch the antenna between being used for AIS and VHF voice communications.

When power supply to the splitter fails or it's turned off, then it "defaults" to maintaining VHF voice communications.
